The Project

Metalsan constructs the new Calà del Moro Bridge in Bagnolo di Po

In the municipality of Bagnolo di Po, in the province of Rovigo, Metalsan has constructed the new Calà del Moro Bridge. The intervention is part of the works planned to eliminate critical points for Class V navigation along the Fissero–Tartaro–Canal Bianco–Po di Levante waterway axis.

The structure consists of a painted S355J2W steel deck and includes two main double-T beams, with a height ranging from 1,800 mm to 3,200 mm at midspan.

For the launching operation, a Liebherr LTM1750 (800-ton capacity) and a Tadano AC500 (500-ton capacity) were employed to handle 59-meter-long segments weighing 115 tons each. To align the beams, two six-axle Cometto SPMTs (48-ton capacity per axle) were used.
