Our role in the construction of the steel and glass roof of the Bologna Trade Fair

The implementation

The roof is made of spatial beams, achieved through the use of linear elements that penetrate the space.

The use of this technology made it possible to pre-assemble the structure on the ground, which, thanks also to the lightness of the solution, was lifted fully assembled. Once in position, our site team secured the element, thus completing the installation of the structure.

Advantages of spatial load-bearing structures in the construction

Recent years have seen a growing interest in spatial load-bearing structures which consolidate their position in the construction world due to the advantages they offer in comparison to classical linear systems: in fact the former, if well designed and calculated, prove to be remarkably economical. Thanks to the prefabrication and standardisation of the constituent elements, the cost of the works is reduced and the on-site work is simplified with a considerable time advantage.
